Violas bear a close resemblance to their cousins, pansies, and they are stunning when planted together!
We love violas during this time of year because of their tolerance to cold weather, and because they come in so many glowing, brilliant colors!
Purchase violas from any local garden center and, in a sunny place, plant about 3-4 inches apart in well-drained soil. Violas can also tolerate some shade if you need them to.
Use in containers, garden beds, or landscaping beds. For great splashes of color, try planting in large swatches of similar colors so that they knit a blanket of blooms as the season goes on.
