wet fall leaf 11-19-14Even in the fall months, moisture is vital for healthy turf growth.  Its a great idea to check your property and soil conditions for moisture levels, even in the cool fall and winter months.

Depending on the amount of rainfall in your area, you may want to consider watering the grass a little more, or reducing the amount of added moisture that you personally apply to your property.

Too little moisture can mean brittle, deteriorating roots, while standing water and saturated soils may harbor diseases and pests, as well as promote root-rot.

It only takes a moment to check up on the moisture in the soil, but that one moment may make all the difference in the long run.
