Commonly found in many homes and in stores worldwide is Aloe Vera, a succulent plant that produces a gel-like core at the heart of it’s leaves.  This gel is a natural remedy for cuts, burns, and abrasions, and has properties that reduce pain, swelling, inflammation, and infection.

To apply, simply cut open a leaf and squeeze the gel out of the center aloe vera 10-21-14into your palm, and apply to the infected area. The clear substance soothes the wound and dries to form a natural protective covering. The gel can also be used as a natural laxative when mixed with purified drinking water.
