Ahhhh…I love pansies. It wouldn’t be fall without them!
These shade-loving flowers hold up extremely well in cold temps, even surviving hard winter frosts!
In most cases, these tender beauties require cool temperatures, however heat-tolerant varieties are also available, so if you look in the right places, you might find a cultivar that will be spectacular even when the temps get warm.
Pansies showcase their pretty little blooms best in large blocks of color, for use in flower gardens or containers. Make sure to provide them with plentiful water in an area with full sun to partial shade.
Place baby plants 4-6 inches apart and include mulch near the roots to cool them and extend blooming period.
We hope you enjoy these little cuties as they add a happy touch to your outdoor landscapes!
