As we speak, zinnias are blooming at my house, and they are stunning! You wouldn’t think that such a delicate flower would make it through the long, hot summer here in Georgia, but seriously, zinnias thrive in this kind of weather! And with all varieties and colors to choose from, you just can’t go wrong.
Try planting them about 4-5 inches apart in containers, and watch how they grow together to create a mini-garden! Make sure they get full sun and moderate moisture. If you pinch off the flowers after they are spent, a new flush of blooms will come up shortly afterwards, prolonging the bloom time.
Zinnias are low-maintenance, heat-tolerant, and absolutely gorgeous. Try your hand at growing some today!
