Although it has the potential to be a beauiful, spreading groundcover with sweet-smelling blooms, it is also worth keeping an eye on.

Unattended, or planted too near an upward structure, like a tree or porch post, confederate jasmine can aggressively spread to proportions that might be considered invasive by some.

If you choose to plant this common vining variety of jasmine, be sure to keep it trimmed and kept in check.  This will help keep it lovely, rather than an eyesore.
