These days, it’s so simple to find succulents locally. We’ll show you some of the best succulents to choose from, and they all work beautifully in containers!
For a draping effect, try layering something like “Burro’s Tail” or sedum morganainium, around the outer lip of your container. “Burro’s Tail” actually works quite well all on it’s own, if you prefer a clean, minimalist look.
To add some sweet charm and fullness to a succulent container, try adding succulents from the Echeveria family, which bloom in a lily shape, and come in lots of lovely shades.
Jade Plant, or crassula ovata, is like the succulent version of a traditional bonsai tree. Raised on short, tree-like stalks, Jade Plant creates height and fullness without being large or overbearing in a space. Be careful not to overwater Jade, or it may wilt and droop, causing damage and sometimes death. For a more structured look, trim the leaves that grow on the lower, thick stalks, leaving only the leaves at the top.
