While the chrysanthemum has long been debated for it’s ability to repel mosquitoes and other flying pests, there can be no doubt that it has also given us a wonderful alternative for the application of pesticides.
Pyrethrum, an all-natural pesticide derived from the blossoms and oils of the chrysanthemum plant, is available in both powdered/granular and liquid forms.
Make no mistake: although this pesticide is a great choice for home and gardens, it IS still a poison and should be applied and handled with much care.
Isn’t it amazing to see the potential in so many of the perfectly designed, natural elements of our world? So cool!
